In a world that is constantly shaping and reshaping its digital dimension, recovering artistic and cultural heritage and making it accessible online has become a major priority.
Thanks to groundbreaking data visualization techniques applied to disciplines related to the digitization of cultural heritage such as digital humanities, it is possible to offer new perspectives for study and research as well as unexplored ways of experiencing art.
DivineComedy.digital was created with this idea in mind: a multimedia and interactive project that catalogs for the first time the figurative heritage related to the Divine Comedy, while also allowing the user to experience the work in an immersive way by combining images, text and audio.
