In this video lesson I show how you can create interesting and great blues lines using the mixolydian major scale. However remember to use the scale with taste.. In the constructed solo here I probably exaggerate the use a bit. To understand the lines I play, look at the seven notes of the mixolydian s. as: 1234567.
Instead of playing through the entire scale, I typically play in sequences. for instance: 1234-2345-3456 etc....
or: 123-234-345..etc. You can make up your own sequences and start practicing them. Enjoy!
