Clogged oil filters or passages.
Wiring or connector issues to the oil pressure control circuit.
Software issues with the PCM.
A damaged oil pump.
Finally, how do you fix the P06DD error code?
Perform an oil change.
You will need;
A wrench.
An oil filter wrench.
A drain pan.
A funnel.
A pair of gloves.
A jack or jack stands.
Once you’ve gathered your materials,
Review your owner's manual to find your car's oil type and amount. You can also consult reliable online databases or your dealership. Purchase this oil and have it ready.
Raise your car using a jack and support it with jack stands. If you cannot find the jack points on your vehicle, check your owner's manual.
Ensure the engine is warm before you begin. However, don’t let the engine get hot.
Open the trunk and remove the oil fill cap to help drain the oil quickly.
Slide under your car and unthread the drain plug.
Place a drain pan under the plug to collect the oil that drips out.
After draining the oil, reattach the plug and remove the oil filter. It's advisable to change the oil filter when performing an oil change.
Reposition the drain pan to collect oil that may spill after removing the filter.
Clean the filter sealing surface with a shop rag and remove the old filter’s O-ring.
Dab some oil on the new filter’s o-ring before attaching the oil filter.
Once done, slide out from under the car, then go to the engine bay.
Place a funnel on the fill hole and add new oil.
Replace the fill cap and start your engine. Let it run for 30 seconds to circulate the oil.
Switch off the engine and check for leaks under your car.
If there are none, lower your car and check the oil level. Top up if it’s below the required level.
