The Ukrainian Army has raised $20 million from foreign donors to boost its drone capabilities, according to Radio Free Europe.
Ukrainian Army drone units showed off new models of military and converted civilian drones used in the fight against Russian forces in a video published on August 4.
The demonstration was part of the military’s “Drone Army” project, aimed at raising more money to buy drones.
The army plans to expand its drone fleet to include 1,200 more military reconnaissance and other unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as “gas-powered miniature planes,” RFE/RL reported.
