"Spirited Away" by Studio Ghibli has turned 20 this year! And it's still one of my most favourite animated movies ever. It has everything: the story, the world, breathtaking backgrounds and the most amazing characters that'll blow your mind. I think this movie is one of the things that influenced the way I build my own composition and load them with bizarre detail as that keeps the brain moist (he he).
Here is my tribute to the cause - a fanart piece that is a fruit of passion and admiration.
I used layers and layers of Kuretake watercolor as well as Daler Rowney paints, some posca and some masking fluid as well as shimmery paints to highlight particular areas.
