This Seadoo 4Tec Jet Pump repair started out as a somewhat standard pump repair and turned into a complete jet pump rebuild. This is why you can't really estimate a jetski pump repair til the pump is removed and disassembled, not all components are visible til the pump is disassembled. I ordered all of the Metal Pump update parts, I swapped over the customer's impeller shaft, and installed a new wear ring in the pump. For some reason the Solas Impeller I ordered by application would not work in the metal pump with the customer's single sided impeller shaft. If anyone can offer input as to why the recessed style Solas Impeller would not work with the single sided impeller shaft in this pump please drop a comment in the comment section. The Solas Impeller actually locked up the pump in the hub area. When I ordered a NOS Seadoo GTI impeller with solid design hub from Ritco Products in Florida that impeller fit just like the original one in the plastic housing and in the metal housing with no problems. I ordered the OEM Impeller and the pump rebuild kit from Ritco Products, if you haven't checked out what they have for your ski yet you really should. They have awesome seat covers and foot pads and some hard to find parts.
