Warli paintings are a traditional art form which originated in Maharashtra, India. Warli art was the style originally done by tribal people of the North Maharashtra region. Warli art uses different geometric shapes in the artwork like a circle, square, triangle, etc. Each of these represents different elements of nature. They practiced the art as a way of connecting themselves to nature.
Their Tarpa dance signifies the circle of life where men and women dance together in a circle/spiral on the beats of a trumpet.
