A: Because I'm a careless, dyslexic idiot.
Q: What's that weird note at 4:43?
A: In modern tuning systems, all half-step intervals are exactly the same size, which allows you to play in every key, but means that all intervals (except the octave) are slightly out of tune. In William Byrd's time, they mostly didn't write music in every key, and could therefor use tuning systems that were more in tune in one particular key (at the expense of other keys). However, if a piece strays far enough from the home key, you can run into trouble. You can read more about this here:
