Sometimes you gotta go back and clean up environmental damage. Sometimes it works in particular areas but population growth keeps mucking things up again elsewhere. Portland is only green on the surface and quality of life is declining as it gets more crowded. That's the story of anywhere there's "growth" as defined in unnatural GDP and consumption terms.
