Horrific footage of women being assaulted in China by a group of men one had turned down has triggered a debate over misogynistic violence in the country.
Nine men can be seen on CCTV video brutally assaulting a group of four women in a restaurant in the northeastern city of Tangshan after one pushed away one member of the group after he put his hand on her back.
In the footage, captured at a barbeque restaurant around 2:40am on Friday, the man continues to stand over her and then strikes her in the face when she asks him to leave.
