I have only had my KitchenAid for 5 days and have used it 3 times to make simple recipes. (choc-chip mufins, carrot cake and apple and walnut muffins).

Also, I watched a video to test the beater position/adjustment where you put a coin at the bottom of the bowl. I noticed it does not touch it, doesnt even nick it. In doing this, I then noticed that the flat beater nicks the edge of the bowl every so often!

Are these two problems related to each other and is this an easy fix or should I contact customer help?
As I mentioned, it's practically brand new so it shouldn't be doing any of this! I noticed the head being loose the first time I used it but didnt think anything of it until I investigated further.
