Getting married in China isn't cheap. The practise of commoditizing marriage by charging a "bride price" to the Chinese groom has grown to incredible proportions in recent years, particularly in rural China. Aside from the unsustainable financial burdens, this practise does not help women's efforts for gender equality. Let's see what happens in China when they prepare to marry.
