The court of appeal has rescheduled the hearing of an appeal by the government, through Kampala Capital City Authority, that seeks to block Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago’s return to office. Lukwago has been out of office for over a year following voting by councillors after a tribunal that found him guilty of abuse of office and incompetence. According to a letter signed by the deputy registrar court of Appeal, one of the Justices in conduct of the matter was not available.
