Timelapse of my process searching for and collecting full-text scientific papers cited in Leonard Faye's book, Chiropractic Odyssey. ([ Ссылка ])
I first search for the article by title in PubMed, then follow the link to the publisher's site. I import the page to Papers 3 (no longer supported) to capture the full reference.
Next, I download the PDF (Papers will automatically import it if available). If it is not available from the publisher or PMC, I will use the Unpaywall or Open Access Button plug-ins in Chrome. If unsuccessful, I will find the paper on ResearchGate and submit a request to the author if needed. As a last resort, I will go through the maligned – but oh so reliable – SciHub.
I will then copy the full citation (usually in APA style) to add to the references list. I ensure the link is clickable to make it easy for readers to access the original paper.
