What happened?
Eurosport TV presenter, Alexandra Legouix took the leap over the Dubai Palm to raise money and awareness for the wonderful charity, Sporting Memories!
The Backstory:
Recently, Alex was appointed an ambassador of this great charity and decided to get the ball rolling on her fundraising activities by taking a leap of faith and skydiving over The Palm in Dubai.
Al lost her dear 'Nannan' 2 years ago after an extremely awful battle with alzheimers and dementia.
While the disease took hold, she attended a course to learn more about how to cope when a loved one is suffering. She developed what she had learnt, did more research and turned her findings into a blog: Ageing Perception [ Ссылка ]
Wanting to spread the knowledge further and try to help others, Al took to seeking out a charity that supported and helped anyone who had been affected by this dreadful disease and she came across Sporting Memories.
Who are Sporting Memroes?
Sporting Memories believe in the power of stories to reignite connections between generations and combat the effects of dementia, depression and loneliness in communities.
Thanks to all 24 generous backers, this is Al's first story to tell as part of this new connection.
