While Junior Volunteers Week was taking place at the NYMR, Standard Tank No. 80136 had its first test run up the challenging 1 in 49 bank to Goathland from Grosmont.
The loco was recently acquired from the '80136 Preservation Group' and the NYMR were given 5 months to overall the loco. They completed it in just 3 months with a few minor faults such as lack of complete cut off of steam.
