Baroness Shami Chakrabarti has attacked the strategy of Number 10, saying it is "thoroughly irresponsible to behave like the Joker in The Dark Knight and go for chaos theory".
She says there are people in Downing Street who "literally believe in causing fear, chaos and polarisation on the streets in order to get their way and get their no-deal Brexit".
