The Income Tax Department has carried out a major raid at Surana Jewelers located at Canada Corner in Nashik. The raids were conducted on Friday at the residence of the owner of Surana Jewelers and his construction company Mahalaxmi Builders after receiving reports of alleged undeclared transactions by the owner. About Rs 26 crore in cash and documents of benami properties worth Rs 90 crore have been seized in the raids conducted by the Income Tax Department.
