The Military sleep method is a powerful technique created by the US military to help their soldiers fall asleep even in the most stressful situations. Practice this technique every night for 6 weeks and you will be able to fall asleep within two minutes.
Get into bed and find a comfortable position.
Step 1: Relax your face
Breathe slowly and deeply and focus on relaxing your face muscles. Begin with your forehead, then work your way down to your eyes, your nose, your mouth, cheeks, and jaw.
Step 2: Relax your shoulders and arms
Continue to relax your muscles down into your neck, shoulders, and arms. Let them be completely overtaken by gravity and sink into the surface you’re lying on.One arm at a time, work your way down relaxing every muscle in your bicep, forearm, wrist, hand and fingers.
Step 3: Focus on your breath, letting your chest relax with each exhale
With each breath, let your body relax a little more. Move down your torso. One leg at a time, relax your thigh, knee, calf, ankle, foot, and toes.
Step 4: Now that you have fully relaxed your body, picture yourself in a calming and serene environment, such as lying in a meadow looking up at a blue sky, or in a hammock beneath the shade of a tree.
Step 5: Repeat the Mantra, “Don’t think.” Say the words yourself over and over again.
Repeat these nightly for six weeks to fully master it. I wish you a wonderful night’s sleep.
