In the context of the show "Sisterhood: Streaming Voices Unifying Energies, " which is hosted at Haus N Athen, I will be curating an online video series complimentary to the show's curatorial idea.
Each video in the series provides a more detailed exploration and research of the influences of the show. The series includes expanded material that was not possible to be part of the physical component of the exhibition. There is no better time than this for this material to be shown.
In the first episode, we present an entertaining standpoint taking into account the current gloomy mood.
Consider the following scene: in an 80's bedroom (located in an Italian TV studio) a very beautiful woman wearing her pyjamas is expecting a guest. She is ready to investigate his thoughts (and not only) with curiosity and excitement. The amusing and spontaneous conversation of these two spans from cultural theory to art criticism culminating almost in an erotic intimation. The couple in this set-up is the legendary icon Amanda Lear and art critic/curator Achille Bonito Oliva. The video is an episode of the show "Ars Amanda" that was hosted by Amanda Lear on RaiTre in 1989.
