One of the things the new president of the DRC, Felix Tshisekedi, might try to do quickly once he takes power is to have his father's body returned from Belgium. Etienne Tshisekedi died there in February 2017 but the body wasn't allowed to be repatriated. The new leadership will also want to reassess ties with the EU in Brussels after the former government threw out the bloc's ambassador in the run up to the elections.
