Austria-Hungary, often referred to as the Austro-Hungarian Empire or the Dual Monarchy, was a constitutional monarchy and great power in Central Europe between 1867 and 1918.
It was formed with the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 in the aftermath of the Austro-Prussian War and was dissolved shortly after its defeat in the First World War.

Österreich-Ungarn, oft als Kaiserreich Österreich-Ungarn oder Doppelmonarchie bezeichnet, war zwischen 1867 und 1918 eine konstitutionelle Monarchie und Großmacht in Mitteleuropa.
Es wurde mit dem österreichisch-ungarischen Ausgleich von 1867 nach dem österreichisch-preußischen Krieg gegründet und kurz nach seiner Niederlage im ersten Weltkrieg aufgelöst.

L'Autriche-Hongrie, souvent appelée Empire austro-hongrois ou Double monarchie, était une monarchie constitutionnelle et une grande puissance en Europe centrale entre 1867 et 1918.
Il a été formé avec le compromis austro-hongrois de 1867 au lendemain de la guerre austro-prussienne et a été dissous peu de temps après sa défaite lors de la Première Guerre mondiale.
