We show How Ultrasonic Flow Meters Work and How a Clamp On Ultrasonic Flow Meter works by using simple analogies and sketches that allow the user to determine the viability of using an ultrasonic clamp on flow meter.
These are also called Ultrasonic Transit Time flowmeters and clamp on flow meters.
These are commonly used as Ultrasonic flow meters for water and they are low cost compared to meters that require cutting into the pipe.
The MAJOR BENEFIT is you can clamp these on the outside of your existing pipe without any penetrations. It requires a bit of skill to install them and this video discusses WHY this skill is required.
Pardon the poor video quality. Blame it on iMovie and Apple by golly!
