CSIRO scientists have made a breakthrough they believe could transform the global textiles industry. The multi-coloured cotton they've developed could drastically decrease the chemical treatments needed to currently process and colour cotton.
They're also developing cotton that is stronger and more elastic.
If these new fabrics live up to their early promise, they could have huge environmental benefits.
