Tyson Foods is one of the world's largest food companies and produces approximately 20% of the beef, pork and chicken in the U.S. With the onset of the pandemic, however, it began battling nationwide meat shortages, and its employees have also been blighted by infections spreading across Tyson's several facility locations. The company's growing pains are a result of rising production costs, slower productivity and decreased demand. Analysts worry its structural issues are too deep-seated to bounce back.
