Camping Šobec was established back in 1956 with a vision of becoming a deluxe, premium and salient vacation centre, offering its guest genuine contact with nature, excellent services and an unforgettable vacation. 60 years later, our vision stays the same. We are still striving for perfection, fulfilling our guests’ wishes and a symbiosis of untouched nature and modern services. This is our commitment and our main priority.

Camping Šobec is located in one of the most beautiful regions in Slovenia, if not Europe. Amazing nature surrounding the camp will leave no one indifferent – even our long-term returning guests. The view of the Julian Alps peaks and Karawanks, reflecting in the crystal clear waters of the Sava Dolinka River and Šobec natural lake are truly a sight for sore eyes. Imagine how nice it would be to wake up in the morning and take in such stunning views! This is exactly what we had in mind when we decided to establish the camp. In the 60 years of our existence, we have enhanced the camp with lovely wooden bungalows, built in a traditional Alpine style, and added a colourful spectrum of sporting, cultural, culinary and other activities to enrich your vacation. In 2018, we are going to open a new restaurant, guaranteed to spoil you with numerous local and global cuisine delicacies.

Camping Šobec is an excellent starting point for exploring Slovenia and its popular beauty spots, as the highway is only 2 kilometres away, and from there you can swerve towards the Slovenian coast, the capital, or towards eastern and southern parts of Slovenia. If you would like to avoid the roads and prefer to hop into your hiking shoes, you can choose from many hiking trails. One of the greatest natural jewels of Slovenia, Bled, is located only 2 kilometres from the camp – ideal to take a walk with entire family (and once you are there, make sure you try the delicious traditional Bled cream cake).

Priceless natural attractions, crystal clear water, fresh Alpine air and the kindness of our staff are one of the main reasons why our guests are glad to return to Camping Šobec. Our commitment to achieve the highest standards is especially mirrored in our care for the environment, as we are striving to minimise our impact on nature. We are committed to waste separation, use organic cleaning agents for cleaning, and we have also set up a state-of-the-art treatment plant. Planting two new trees for each fallen tree is our way to give nature in return. During your stay with us, you can rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to reduce our carbon footprint, and treat nature as it deserves: with respect.
