This is Nurul Iman Islamic Center of Mindanao State University - Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography located inside the Sanga-Sanga Campus, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi. A remote province in the southern Philippines.
I have been wanting to know more about the religion Islam, to witness the celebration of Ramadan, to reflect, and see the rich culture of the people of Mindanao. Everything I experienced and all the lessons I've learned here in Tawi-Tawi have changed the way I see life, the way I see our Muslim brothers and sisters, and the way I see every little thing I have in life and continuously receive. I am so blessed. We all are! I am here to break the stigma. To change the way we see Mindanao. The way we see Tawi-Tawi. (More videos coming up soon).

My heart is full of happiness when I saw this Pink Mosque and even more grateful to interview the first-ever lady Chancellor of MSU TCTO, Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali Ph.D. Who would have thought that we were both born and raised in Pampanga? No wonder I felt that connection in an instant. She is bubbly, she keeps her smile all throughout our conversation, and she is so kind, sweet, and motherly. This made me understand why they call her the #MotherDolphin. Can I just say, I would like to be one of the Baby Dolphins?
Honestly, I am not that confident to make this interview coz I didn't bring my vlog set up with me since we plan to travel from different locations almost every day. I just have my phone and a couple of Insta360 cameras. We just also went back from the peak of Bud Bungao so imagine how exhausted we are. But luckily, I think this video went well (hoping). Sometimes it's not just about the camera setup, but the people you're working with. Special thanks to my brothers Bojo Tresmonte and Henry Ropila for all the support from start to end. I could have done this without you. And of course, to the woman who took care of us and became our mother for the rest of our stay in Tawi-Tawi, Ka Sidang.
