T. Scott Clendaniel was our future guests and provides us with some valuable advice on AI as well as how people can pursue a career in data science, Machine Learning and AI. Listen to our conversation as there are a lot of wisdom to be learned from.

Scott began his analytics career way back in 1986. He started with A/B marketing testing on financial services projects up through the VP level at Bank of Hawaii.

After a personal family emergency, he was forced to surrender his traditional career, and started his own consulting firm. There, he had clients including Audi, Booz Allen, IBM, The Los Angeles Times, United Healthcare and more.

Along the way he developed unique approaches for machine learning, especially the area of Feature Engineering. He spends his time now mentoring people in the fields of AI and Data Science, as well as serving as the Lead Data Scientist for Franklin Templeton, a financial services company with over $1.4 trillion in assets.
