This year's ESC congress included the presentation of the results of almost 40 clinical trials during the so-called Hotline Sessions, often announced with great enthusiasm. We asked John Mandrola, electrophysiologist of the Baptist Health in Lousville and columnist at Medscape, to name one study in which - in his point of view - hype overcomes hope and, on the other side, one that brings useful answers for clinical practice. Mandrola than told us which features a study must have in order to provide real value for patient care and explained how using different statistical methods can lead to different results.
