Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe has held talks with visiting US Defense Secretary James Mattis in Beijing. Wei said Mattis’ visit will boost mutual trust between both militaries. Mattis said he expected to have "open and honest" dialogue with Beijing. Chinese Foreign Ministry also spoke about Mattis' visit, saying the two countries have achieved progress during military talks.
