The special silicone grey tape helps grip the fed sheets of paper and the feed nip roller must ride on this tape. Placement of them is also important and should be as close to the right side guide as possible. When the tape wears out in as spot on the tape the feed nip roller can b e moved slightly so it is not riding on the worn spot. Once tape completely worn and causing hesitation of the paper sheet fed, the grey tape must be replaced with only one wrap with the ends butted up.
