Hello, Everybody: For this time lapse I set one of my cameras to take a 1920 X 1080 photo every three seconds.
*This time lapse was recorded less than 1.3 miles (or about 2.09 kilometers) in straight-line distance from the north edge of the zone of totality. This shows a 99.948% total eclipse. At the location I was recording this at, the start of the partial eclipse occurred at 11:50:37.2 A.M. U.S. Central Time. The maximum eclipse there occurred at 1:19:03.2 P.M. U.S. Central Time. The end of the partial eclipse there occurred at 2:45:00.1 P.M. U.S. Central Time.
I began recording this time lapse at approximately 12:53 P.M. U.S. Central Time, and finished recording it at approximately 1:45 P.M. U.S. Central Time, so the camera was in operation for about 52 minutes.
I myself personally was out under the sun for all parts of the eclipse. Of course I could have driven or even cycled on my mountain bike into the zone of totality, yet at this location I was able to walk a short distance. Will you please also check out my vlog on this event from the same location? It will be posted on my other (Indoor and Outdoor Endurance) channel. I greatly appreciate your attention!
