Let me start by saying this... I wish I would have bought this way sooner!!! What a crazy difference this mic mount makes. If you are running a dual kick mic setup and want the best beater punch, this is for you! Combined with a mic at the reso head for depth and boom I'm super excited for this new combination! For this recording, you are hearing the internal bass drum mic only! The external microphone is not on for this experiment.

This is the cheaper composite version of the Kelly Shu mount. They also make a nicer aluminum version. If I was traveling with this kit, I would definitely opt for the better version. Either way, this is a seriously great upgrade and I cannot wait to make my next drum cover and hear the full difference in the kick drum!!
