To separate the frozen products, they are riddled over mesh into so-called Dolav boxes, which in turn, feed the product to the bucket elevator via vibration trays. Before the product enters the bucket elevator, it is checked by metal detectors for foreign bodies, so any affected products can be ejected from the system. A special S5 R2 variant was selected for the weigh system. The rejected portions are ejected from the weighing hopper via a swivel funnel to the hopper beneath, as shown in the function diagram below. The good portions are transferred to the inner memory hopper and the reject portions to the outer hopper. The good portions pass via an inner chute
and a two-level funnel into the two duck-bill timing hoppers. From here, the portions proceed to the can carousel. Equipped with kidney-shaped funnels, the can carousel fills the cans with small sausages or ravioli.
The rejected portions pass via the outer memory hopper in the discharge chute and from there, out into a rotating ring, which ejects the product into a container. The rejected portions are ejected out of the system without loss of cycles.
