On Saturday 25th March 2023, there were changes to London bus routes 485, 39, 152, 493 & 690.

Waterside Way (PL) Garage has closed due to the lease expiring. It operated routes 39, 485, 493 & 690 and the Roehampton University fleet.

Route 39's allocation has now been transferred to Putney (AF).

Route 152 has a new timetable with journey times revised to better reflect traffic levels.

Route 424's allocation was transferred to Stockwell (SW) garage.

Route 485 has also been improved, with a new late evening & Sunday service. It has also been extended to serve Wandsworth Riverside Quarter, via a short loop. However bus stops have not been installed. It's allocation has also been transferred to Merton (AL).

Route 493's allocation has now been transfered to Merton (AL).

Route 690's allocation has now been transferred to Stockwell (SW).

Route 485 Change From The TfL Website:
Route 485 rerouted & new evening and Sunday service from Saturday 25 March
Following completion of road layout changes route 485 will, from Saturday 25 March, be rerouted in both directions to serve the Wandsworth Riverside Quarter development.

Towards Wandsworth buses will be rerouted from Putney Bridge Road after bus stop CC to run in a one-way clockwise loop via Point Pleasant, Osiers Road, Enterprise Way, Osiers Road, and Point Pleasant back to Putney Bridge Road and then back to the current route and onto Wandsworth.

Towards Hammersmith Bridge buses will be rerouted from Putney Bridge Road after bus stop B (named Frogmore) to run in a one-way clockwise loop via Point Pleasant, Osiers Road, Enterprise Way, Osiers Road, and Point Pleasant back to Putney Bridge Road and then back to the current route and onto Hammersmith Bridge.

Three new bus stops will be provided within the Wandsworth Riverside Quarter with buses serving these stops in both directions.

Also, from Saturday 25 March a late evening and all day Sunday service will be introduced on route 485 with buses running every 30 minutes from first to last bus on all days of the week. Times of first and last buses on all days of the week are as follows:

First bus from Wandsworth to Hammersmith Bridge 0640 (0645 on Sundays)
Last bus from Wandsworth to Hammersmith Bridge 0015
First bus from Hammersmith Bridge to Wandsworth 0705
Last bus from Hammersmith Bridge to Wandsworth 0035

Finally, also from Saturday 25 March buses on route 485 towards Hammersmith Bridge will now additionally serve bus stop U (names Wandsworth / Southside) on Wandsworth High Street.

Due to the continuing closure of Hammersmith Bridge to all traffic route 485 continues to start and finish on Castelnau close to the junction with Lonsdale Road on the south side of the bridge. Route 485 will also continue to serve Barnes Wetlands Centre in both directions between 0930 and 1630 on all days of the week.
