Ölüdeniz, meaning "Dead Sea" due to its consistently calm waters even during storms (officially translated as "Blue Lagoon"), is a charming town in the municipality and district of Fethiye, located in Muğla Province, Turkey. As of 2022, the population of Ölüdeniz stands at 6,132. Previously designated as a town (belde), its administrative status changed following the 2013 reorganization.
Renowned as a beach resort on the Turkish Riviera, Ölüdeniz sits at the meeting point of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. It is situated 14 kilometers (9 miles) south of Fethiye, close to the majestic Mount Babadağ, making it a popular destination for both relaxation and adventure, including paragliding and nature exploration.
