"Jedi: Fallen Order’s next-gen update will let you go from disc to digital. EA released a free next-gen update for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on Friday, and the announcement comes with good news for people who own a physical copy of the game but have a discless next-gen console: EA will let you convert your physical copy to a digital one so you can take advantage of the upgrade, the company says in an FAQ. If you want to upgrade your disc version to digital, click this link to EA’s support website. If you click on the Digital Edition PS5 or Xbox Series S icons, then “Codes and promotions,” then “Replace disc with code,” then “Select Contact Option,” you’ll be taken to a form to fill out to request your digital code. The form says an EA support representative will email you within 72 hours after you fill it out.Jedi: Fallen Order’s next-gen update adds 4K / HDR resolution, improved 60fps performance, and “significantly faster” loading speeds, according to EA. It also adds a performance mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X that runs at a 1440p resolution and 60fps — when turned off, the game runs at a 4K resolution at 30fps.”

"Elon Musk demos Cyberpunk 2077 on new Tesla infotainment system with ‘PS5-level performance. AMD is powering Tesla’s new infotainment system. Elon Musk teased that Tesla’s new Model S Plaid would be capable of running Cyberpunk 2077 earlier this year, and he’s now demonstrated the car’s “PS5-level performance.” The refreshed Model S includes a new Tesla infotainment system, powered by AMD’s Ryzen processor and a discrete AMD RDNA 2 GPU. We only saw a brief demo of Cyberpunk 2077 running at high frame rates on the $130,000 Model S Plaid during Tesla’s event, alongside a closer look at the updated UI on the infotainment system.

"PlayStation Boss Jim Ryan Finally Hits Out At Next-Gen Scalpers. Ever since the release of the new-gen consoles, scalpers have been a huge issue. The PlayStation 5 especially has had problems, with resellers snapping up stock before putting it back on the market at extortionate prices. Now, finally, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan has weighed in on the issues Sony is facing, and expressed his frustration with scalpers as a whole. In an interview with Axios, the head of PlayStation spoke about how annoying it was for himself and the company to see stock landing on online marketplaces: "This really frustrates me and upsets me, especially when resellers and bots manage to get their hands on stock." Ryan goes on to stress that Sony is "working incredibly hard" with retailers to get the consoles into "the right hands". The global superconductor shortage continues to make tech releases difficult - PlayStation 5s, Xbox Series Xs, graphics cards, and more electronic devices are all pretty difficult to get hold of in this climate. These chip shortages are expected to continue for quite a while, too.

"Jim Ryan, the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, found himself in some hot water with the gaming masses after a quote that seemed to dismiss older games. However, in a recently published interview with Axios, Ryan says he didn't mean to "be disrespectful to our heritage" and simply put his foot in his mouth. The infamous quote in question was from a 2017 interview with Time Magazine. Ryan was speaking about being at a Gran Turismo event where entries in the franchise from all generations of consoles were being shown. "And the PS1 and the PS2 games," Ryan said, "they looked ancient, like why would anybody play this?” However, that's not exactly a problem for most players since simply getting your hands on a PS5 is still a struggle. Ryan also recently commented on the ongoing hardware shortage, saying that PS5 production would see a sizable increase over the summer."
