Here's how to make these delicious fancy French potatoes aka Pommes Fondantes at home.
Ingredients:
- Potatoes
- Fresh Rosemary
- Fresh Thyme
- Garlic
- Butter
- Beef Stock
- Oil (for cooking)
Step 1: Peel & Cook Your Potatoes
Peel the skin off of your potatoes and cut them lengthwise into 1-inch thick pieces.
Add some oil to a pan and add your potatoes, flipping once the underside starts to brown. Add some pads of butter, your fresh herbs, and garlic, and let the flavors marry.
Step 2: Make Your Sauce & Baste
Once your butter is all melted, add in some beef stock and start to baste your potatoes.
After about 10 minutes, you'll see how thick and velvety your sauce has gotten. Plate your potatoes and drizzle over your sauce before digging in.
Pommes Fondantes may taste expensive, but they're fairly cheap and easy to make at home.
