Had a play about with some free online software to get a better idea of what we were dealing with. Now I have realised the kitchen size isn't really what I had imagined, restricted by the stairs means a tiny island :(
If I had done this before I would have pushed the rear wall back another 600mm - 1000mm. Too late now though doh!
