Startup pitch decks are a massive time suck if you try to create the perfect deck for all investors!
I did that. There were founders I advised that did that. Every first-time founder tends to obsess over pitch decks in their fund raise.
It's understandable, as plenty of investors openly share what they think is important in decks. Thus founders try to cover all the bases.
THIS IS CRAZY! Most early decks from unicorns were very basic. What they did well was tell a story of how their startup was ready for venture scale.
