A woman who recently lost her mother brought me her engagement ring to restyle using diamonds from a pendant that belonged to her mother. She wanted to maintain the overall look of her original engagement ring, but incorporate a small sentimental touch with the diamonds she inherited. She desired a simple, clean look, so I went with a flush setting that embeds the diamonds into the shoulders of the ring without using prongs. As for the pendants larger center diamond, I set it into a classic solitaire pendant. Now she has a small piece of her mother's memory in both her engagement ring and the new pendant that she can wear daily in remembrance.
