Never doubt, said the anthropologist Margaret Mead, “that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world”. Note: she didn’t claim that they would change it for the better.
Exhibit one is Mark Steele. He has thoughts. He is committed. He has a small group of Facebook followers. Like many people, he is worried about “a humanitarian crisis”.
Except for Mr Steele the humanitarian crisis is in Gateshead, Tyneside, and it involves 5G mobile transmitters giving people nosebleeds and miscarriages. Mr Steele also reveals that 5G trials have killed all the local sparrows, although seagulls appear unaffected.
