This is just a short video less then 6 mints, where i showing you how to reset the password on a Cisco router step by step.

I'm going to use cisco ISR 4331 k9 Router in this video.
Steps are same for any other cisco router also like 2900 series router etc.

As a know, this happens to us all many time.
A client calls, wants some router work done but they don't know the router password.

Steps are below to recover/Reset password on cisco Router.
Step 1:
Restart the Router & Intrupt the Router loading process by Break Command & go to ROMMON Mode.
Step 2:
In ROMMON Mode, Change the default Configuration Register Value to 0x2142 & restart the router.
Step 3:
Copy the Old Configuration from Start-up Configuration to Running Configuration.
Step 4:
Change the Enable Secret Or Password & Save Configuration.
Step 5:
Revert back the Configuration Register value back to Default, that is 0x2102 & Restart the Router.
