Niagara University announced that its College of Education received accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), the sole nationally recognized accrediting body for educator preparation.
There are more than 100 institutions in New York that offer education programs, but NU is one of only eight in the state that has earned CAEP accreditation.
The CAEP accreditation was granted for a period of seven years.
