I installed the Frontrunner ladder to access our roof rack while the global pandemic is affecting deliveries worldwide, including the delivery of our rooftop tent ordered in February of 2021.
Frontrunner Outfitters ([ Ссылка ]) have been in business for a while. I have been using their products ever since I acquired the 4runner. But, the ladder for the 5thGen 4Runner is something new in their lineup. I decided to go with their ladder versus the more famous brands. Because I have been with them since we started this journey, and I never had any issues with their products, their ladder is cheaper (about 300 dollars and some change, taxes, and shipping included). All we need is the functionality of a ladder to climb up and down from the roof rack. I don't need the strength of heavy-duty steel nor the added accessories that come with other brands. The ladder is made of powder-coated stainless steel, the same material that comes with their famous roof racks, and weighs in at 13.7 lbs. I did upgrade the OEM hatch struts with the Gobi struts ([ Ссылка ])just for peace of mind.
