Shuffle is the new dance craze sweeping malls, public parks and schools in Indonesia.
For many shufflers, the dance movement is not only an outlet for their creativity, but also a smart move to make some extra cash.
STORYLINE:
At this shopping mall the teenagers are dancing to a different beat.
They have come to participate in a shuffle dance competition.
Originated in Australia, shuffle dancing is now has a huge following among Indonesian youth since 2009.
American pop band LMFAO has helped create the hype over shuffle dance in Indonesia by featuring it in their massively popular "Party Rock Anthem" music video in 2011.
Shuffle dancing can generally be characterised by fast movement of someone's heels and toes to the tune of various types of electronic music.
Some arm movements usually complement the shuffling move.
There are two basic moves that identify the shuffle dance. The first move is "Running Man" where the shuffler is seemingly running on the spot.
In addition, other well-known moves for shuffle pros are kick, spin, slide, jumps and many more.
