In October 2000, Conference leaders Yeovil came back from 1-0 down to win 3-1 against Kingstonian at Huish Park, with goals from Patmore and Belgrave (2). Trailing 1-0 at half time, the team emerged to the news over the tannoy that title rivals Rushden and Diamonds were losing at Morecambe, which may in part have inspired the fightback. The win extended the Glovers' lead at the top of the Conference to four points over high-spending Rushden.
