Dexpan - Does it work? Non-explosive rock excavation!
As we dig into the side of our mountain, we are finding harder and harder rock! If you've watched some of our other videos, you've seen us use the Sierra Blaster and a Bobcat hydraulic hammer to remove rock. One of our neighbors suggested giving Dexpan a shot. So far its performed as advertised. I drilled 12 test holes into different types of rock and different formations to get a feel for how it would perform in our conditions. I will say its not as exciting as the Sierra Blaster or a Hydraulic hammer but it gets the job done. The wait for 12 to 24 hours would be my only complaint. I'm trying to het areas ready drilled and filled before we head home for the week. when we get back up the rock is broken up and ready for removal.
