Just one day after being a punch line at the Oscars, Mel Gibson was on daddy duty with Rosalind Ross in Santa Monica, and he looked to be in his element and totally in love.

Mel Gibson was on daddy duty when we spotted him with Rosalind Ross out and about in LA.
Guess he was able to let all of Jimmy Kimmel’s Oscar jokes slide the from the night before, and concentrate on the things that really matter.
We spotted Mel clothes shopping for his newborn with Rosalind by his side… and having already done this 8 times before, we can imagine this was a walk in the park.
After shopping on Montana Avenue on the west side, Mel took his baby and girlfriend for lunch at Kreation Kafe.
Later they were joined by their caretaker and stopped by the doctors office.
And we’re just hoping they got back a clean bill of health.
Mel looked to be in good spirits during the day and Rosalind was giving off that new mother glow.
Lars was born was born just days before the new year so it looks like 2017 will be a jam packed year.
