Snail slime facials - the new beauty treatment coming out of Tokyo, Japan! Tokyo beauticians are rolling out a new facial based on snail slime - secreted by live molluscs as they slither slowly across your face. "The snail slime makes your skin really supple and removes dry, scaly patches. It's also got great hydrating properties and moisturises the skin. So when your face is all dried out after sunburn it can really help the repair process," beautician Manami Takamura said.

Ancient Greek and Roman medical theorists recommended snail preparations as a remedy for anything from burns to problems during pregnancy. Report by Katie Lamborn.
